Top attractions

While you’re likely to spend most of your holidays to St. Pete beach sunning yourself on the shore, there are plenty of attractions to experience if you can tear yourself away from the sand.
Culture vultures should put the Salvador Dali Museum, which tops the must-visit list. Located in downtown St. Petersburg, just a short jaunt away from St. Pete Beach, it houses an excellent collection of the artist’s works. Afterwards, take a walking tour of St. Pete and discover the vibrant murals that appear on the street.
The hustle and bustle of Pier 60 is well worth a visit, if only for its gorgeous views and old Florida charm. There are playgrounds for the children to enjoy alongside the opportunity to try your hand at fishing. Don’t fancy it? Simply enjoy the view over the Gulf Coast with a drink in hand at the on-site bar. Keen foodies will love what’s on the menu after dark, when the pier becomes the place to be for delicious beach-style seafood restaurants. Make your visit in October and you’ll even be lucky enough to full up on delicious food and music at the Clearwater Jazz Holiday and John’s Pass Seafood festival – yum!
