Kaktus Playa is a contemporary 5-star hotel which holds a prime position along the Costa Brava, the ‘Wild Coast’. The Costa Brava is home to some of Spain’s most rugged shorelines and natural wonders, making it a fantastic place to visit. Kaktus Playa is part of the GFH hotel group, with properties across Spain.
There are 241 double and triple rooms at Kaktus Playa, many with great views of the village of Calella. The rooms all boast an ‘urban modern’ design, and some even include a luxurious in-room hydromassage tub. No matter how confident you are in the water, you’ll enjoy taking a dip at the hotel’s swimming pool, which provides three different depths to suit all abilities. Or perhaps you’d prefer to chill out at the solarium, and relax on the terrace. The onsite spa and fitness centre features a dry sauna, steam room, hydromassage cabins, and cardio equipment, and a wide range of treatments are available. The buffet restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and there are two bars within the complex.
If you stay at the Kaktus Playa you’ll benefit from being just moments from the beachfront, and from the looming Calella Lighthouse. You’re also close to some of Calella’s best attractions, such as the local history museum, the Museum of Tourism, and the observation deck. Calella is roughly halfway between Blanes and Mataro, so Kaktus Playa is the ideal base if you fancy doing some Costa Brava town-hopping. Or for more of an outdoorsy experience, head to Montnegre Park, home to stunning African Oak trees.
