Discover Platja D'Aro Holidays 2021
Originally a small fishing village, this Costa Brava resort is now very popular with holiday makers. With endless blue flagged golden beaches and hidden little bays, not to mention its own castle, Platja D'Aro is a gem of a place to enjoy your holiday.
Located in the north eastern corner of Spain, the Costa Brava is just a couple of hours' plane ride from the UK, in no time at all you could be kicking back and enjoying a cocktail in one of the beachside bars along Platja D'Aro or lounging by the pool of all inclusive hotel.
Your guide to Playa De Aro holidays
There is a year-round festival atmosphere in Platja D'Aro, with the carnival and beer festival being particular highlights. If you’re travelling with kids, Platja D’Aro is close to the Aquadiver water park, and Costa Brava’s biggest amusement park ‘Magic Park’ in Lloret de Mar. If you enjoy golf, the Mas Nou Golf Club is set high above the resort and boasts spectacular views across the area. Explore the surrounding Gavarres mountains on your holiday to Platja D’Aro, either by foot, bike, or on horseback.
The main long sandy beach, Platja Gran, stretches out for two kilometres and you can hire a sunbed and admire the dazzling turquoise sea stretching out in front of you. If you’re keen on action holidays, Platja d'Aro has the usual range of water sports on offer, from water skiing to kayaking, and plenty of children’s activities available in the summer too. Either side of the Platja Gran beach you can explore the small sandy coves, and head to Cala del Pi and Cala dels Canvers beaches if you want to escape the crowds along the main Platja d'Aro strip.
