Playa Amadores is located on the southwest coast of Gran Canaria, right next to the popular resort of Puerto Rico. Playa Amadores is a pretty relaxed spot, being relatively fresh-faced when it comes to the many tourist resorts on Gran Canaria. With a quiet Blue Flag beach, plenty of restaurants and various all inclusive hotels, Playa Amadores is a top pick for your Gran Canaria holiday.
A quiet spot situated between Puerto Rico and Puerto de Mogan, Playa Amadores is an excellent place to base yourself whilst you explore this lovely corner of Gran Canaria. Nearby Puerto Rico is just a 5-10 minute journey away in a taxi and offers lots of bars and shops. You can also take an easy walk along clifftops to reach the resort, if you fancy it.
Alternatively, Puerto de Mogan is on the other side, around 20 minutes away. This charming resort oozes a romance along its twisting waterways, earning it the nickname 'Venice of Gran Canaria.' Just a little further and you'll reach Las Palmas, the bustling cosmopolitan capital of Gran Canaria.
Playa Amadores's beach is a man-made delight, a stretch of Caribbean imported sand is protected by a natural bay. Ideal for family holidays, this peaceful beach is well-maintained and serviced by bars and restaurants situated directly on the beach. Because of the relaxing atmosphere, and Playa Amadores actually meaning 'lover's beach', this is also a great spot for a couples holiday.
