Famed for the idyllic stretch of its 11km-long beach, Negril provides a paradisiacal escape to sun-seekers, serving up relaxing and peaceful vibes for a truly unforgettable 2020 holiday.

Should you be looking for something more adventurous and vibrant, Negril has you covered too, nightlife in Negril is exciting and bursting with music and plenty of restaurants and cafés right on the beach; and if you take a trip to Montego Bay - the second largest city in Jamaica - you’ll find an extra abundance of exciting activities everywhere—including zip-lining in the jungle!

Maybe you’re looking to enjoy some nature on your getaway? Jamaica is also known for its fantastic waterfalls, and you’ll find that it’s very easy to reach many of the most spectacular ones from Negril—particularly the Mayfield and YS waterfalls, which are the closest.

Last but not least, you can’t skip visiting Nine Miles, famous for being Bob Marley’s home town. The place is incredibly picturesque and Bob Marley’s family still lives here, so you’ll be sure to feel his energy and spirit imbuing the whole place.

Take a glass-bottomed boat ride for an incredible day out, and for an even more incredible experience make sure to take one with snorkelling included. If you fancy exploring the area you’re staying in, there are some beautiful sites to encounter that will see you gladly move off the sand for a day or two. The Roaring River Park offers fantastic scenery and includes a limestone cave through which the Roaring River flows, and the Negril Cliffs - which are the resort’s other party piece and were used as a backdrop in the Bond film ‘Thunderball’ - will delight you with the striking formations are one of most memorable coastal scenes in the whole of Jamaica. Absorbing their majesty from the water is probably the best vantage point, either from the deck of a vibrant party boat or the more lucid seat of a local’s fishing vessel. While you’re here, why not make a quick trip to Cuba? You can easily find companies that offer two-day tours that include air transportation and even local accommodation, if you intend to stay longer.

Beaches

Beaches

There’s only one beach in Negril but what a beach it is! Seven miles of beautiful white sand, and warm, shallow clear waters. Calm waters and soft sands define this Jamaican resort and beach lovers will find no better haven to camp out in during their time in the country, especially if they’re looking to catch up on their beauty sleep in the sun. Beyond catching the rays on the sand, the beach also boasts a colourful and healthy coral reef just offshore, promising some wonderful snorkelling and diving experiences for adventurous types on their holidays to Negril.

If you feel like wandering off, head off to Bloody Bay. According to the legend, this place got its name from a violent pirate battle but today it is a beautiful public beach with crystal clear waters. It’s also less crowded, so if you’re looking for some complete relaxation, don’t miss it.
