The Opera Plaza is a 4-star hotel that provides a quiet oasis in the fast-paced city of Marrakech. Don’t worry - it’s not that quiet, there’s lots to do, including 10-pin bowling, a fitness center and a spa and wellness center heavily featuring the North African hydro traditions.
North Africa is all about the smells and the tastes of new cuisine. On-site there are 3 restaurants, serving not only Moroccan cuisine but Italian cuisine too, all set against an elegant backdrop that is the Opera Plaza Hotel. Somewhere as sunny as Marrakech means the hotel comes with a pool, and alongside the pool is the obligatory bar and lounging area. After a hot day in the hustle and bustle of this ancient trading city, return to the hotel and relax, cool off and unwind with a sumptuous cocktail and sophisticated treatment at the hotel’s spa.
The Opera Plaza is right by the railway station and in the heart of the modern city, where you’ll find as many smart boutiques as traditional market sellers. The amazing Menara Gardens, laid out as olive groves in the 12th century, are not far away and definitely worth a visit. Further afield, the Atlas Mountains are to the south of Marrakech, boasting an abundance of beauty spots which you can book a day trip to go and see. A train journey of around three hours will take you to Casablanca, the country’s largest city, hosting an amazing hustling, bustling sea port.
Situated opposite the railway station and theatre; 500m from the convention centre; and 3km from the Jamaa El Fna Medina. Do your best to visit: the valley of Ourika, the Ouzoud, the valley of Ait Bougmez, and the Tizi-n-Test.
Local tax of 16.50MAD per person per night is required and to be paid locally.
24 hour Reception Services, housekeeping, 24 hour Concierge, currency exchange, 24 hour room service, laundry service, car rental, 2 meeting rooms for 150 people in each, shops available and further standard front desk services.
Guest rooms have a contemporary style of clean white or pale interiors adorned with modern art, smart furnishings of elegant dark wood and sleek fabrics, subtle lighting and modern amenities take care of your well-being; features include air-conditioning, a marble private bathroom with shower and hair dryer, satellite LCD TV, direct dial telephone, a mini fridge and safe box.
