The Reef Playacar

The Reef Playacar is a 4-star hotel located in the beautiful coastal resort town of Playa del Carmen, situated along the famous Riviera Maya. A part of the Reef Resorts and Spa Group, with hotels across Mexico, it offers fantastic views across the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea.

There are 196 guest rooms at The Reef Playacar, spread across 18 Caribbean-style villas. In the evenings, choose from six restaurants, including Mexican, Italian, and American, and five bars, such as a Mediterranean-themed lounge and a luxurious swim-up pool bar.

In the immediate area you’ll find beaches, golf clubs, and the Centro Maya shopping mall, but if that’s not enough you’re just a 5-minute stroll away from downtown Playacar with its casinos, nightclubs, and bustling atmosphere. If you’re keen to experience the natural beauty of Mexico, the hotel is very near to both the Rio Secreto and Cento Chaak Tun underground cave systems, where you can swim in the turquoise waters of the natural pools. You could even take the ferry from Playa del Carmen to the island of Cozumel, which is considered to be one of the best diving destinations in the world!
