Where to go on holidays in May 2021

Once May comes around, you can congratulate yourself for getting through the British winter in one piece! So why not reward yourself with a holiday in the sun? Low season prices can mean fantastic deals, whether you want a weekend city break somewhere sunny and easy to get to like Palma in Majorca, or feel like a long haul escape somewhere exotic like Dubai! Get yourself ready for summer by hitting the stunning beaches of the Algarve or the Canaries – you could go kite-surfing on Fuerteventura, climb Mount Teide in Tenerife, or chill in Lanzarote. May is a great time to travel: the weather is warm in many of the most popular destinations, but you won’t have to fight through crowds to get that coveted spot on the beach.
