The 4-star Seashells Resort at Suncrest is a lovely, recently refurbished hotel located on the Qawra seafront in northern Malta, just a half hour drive from some of Malta's top attractions around Valletta. With a nearby beach, a centre, an outdoor pool for adult's and two for kids, plus access to a fitness centre which is located right next to the hotel.
Following a recent bout of renovation, the rooms at the Seashells Resort befit its 4-star rating. Expect modern furnishing and an airy design, bringing the Mediterranean into your room. Some key facilities include new bathrooms, double-glazing doors on the balconies, free usage of tea and coffee, free WiFi, a safe and hairdryer, a fridge bar (stocked on request), centrally controlled air conditioning and a seating area.
The Seashells Resort boasts the Carisma Spa & Wellness centre, offering professional massage treatments and a range of other treatments. There's also a hammam (the Turkish bath), one of the very few on Malta. If you prefer the pool, the outdoor pool is large and has a spacious decking area with beds and umbrellas. Next to the pool is the pool bar where the evening entertainment takes place. If action is what you prefer on holiday, then the hotel has a water sports centre and diving school which is run by recognized instructors. Just ask at the hotel desk for details.
Located on the seafront in Qawra, next to St. Paul's Promenade, you have access to this popular coastline, which is packed full of restaurants, bars and rocky beaches (there are some lidos for lounging on if you don't fancy the rocky coast.) A bus stop just outside the hotel provides access to the rest of this quite small island, meaning you can hit all the top sights if you want to. Malta's buses can get pretty busy in the summer season, so hiring a car isn't a bad idea.
Guest rooms are smart and modern, consisting of economy rooms and more superior accommodation, with pastel shades, colourful drapes and fabrics, cool tiled floors and amenities for your comfort; features include a private furnished balcony with inland or sea view (excluding economy rooms), air-conditioning & heating (seasonal), ceiling fan, en suite bathroom with hair dryer, satellite TV, direct dial telephone and mini fridge. Suites have a separate bedroom and lounge and boast 3 private balconies. There are some self-catering apartments available.
Twin Standard No Balcony Room rooms are not suitable for those with disabilities and wheelchair users due to space restrictions.
