The 2 star Hotel Porto Playa I (formerly Ex Monteverde) offers a value for money, budget base from which to enjoy Majorca’s fantastic weather and lively atmosphere. With more than your typical 2 star hotels range of facilities, including a pool, bar and mini golf course, and a fantastic location on the fringes of popular Porto Crista, Porto Playa I is a great choice for those looking for an affordable holiday option.

The hotel has a 7 story main building with 7 single rooms, 113 are doubles and 27 are suites. All rooms have en-suite bathrooms and central heating, direct dial telephone, a safe and a balcony. The hotel has its own restaurant which serves 3 meals a day, as well as a hotel bar providing refreshing drinks to accompany a day by the pool. The hotels outdoor pool is edged by a sunny patio complete with sunbeds, the ideal place to relax. For the more active guest, the hotel has its own mini golf course, playground for children, TV and games room. Evening entertainment is occasionally provided for guests and internet access is available for an extra fee, ensuring that everyone has a way to relax and have fun. The hotel has a reception which is open 24 hours to assist with any questions and help you get the best out of your stay.

The Caves or Drach are virtually opposite the Caves of Drach, while the … beach is just 500 metres away. The centre of Porto Crista is just a little further, about 900m from the hotel, making it easily to access the bars, shops and restaurants, but far away enough to enjoy a peaceful night’s sleep. For those looking to explore more of the area, there is a bus stop just outside of the hotel with regular transport to surrounding areas, Callor Millor and Sa Coma being particularly recommended as day trips.

Yes, the rooms have a TV. 10 euros deposit is payable at Reception for the remote control. This is refunded in full when you return the remote control at the end of your holiday. Most Channels are in Spanish, but if you press the "Yellow Button" on the remote it converts to English language.

There is not a hair dryer in the room, but you can borrow one from Reception for an hour when required. They have Two available, so sometimes you may have to wait, or pre-book it.

Hot and Cold breakfast. Bacon, sausage, eggs, tomatoes etc. and also cheese, salad, cold meats, fruits and cereals. A selection on fruit juices and hot beverages, toast, bread, brioche, croissants cakes and preserves.
