Introducing holidays to Mahon
The Balearic Islands have been a firm favourite with sun-seekers for decades, and one of the most vibrant cities on offer is Mahon, on the island of Menorca. The city is located on the eastern side of the island and is famed for its large natural harbour, one of the largest in the world at over 5 kilometres long and boasting stunningly clear and often calm waters.
With our cheap holidays, you can discover all that the city has to offer. This includes a beautiful historic town centre, which is home to some incredible buildings with different architectural styles, such as the Arch de San Roque, part of an ancient wall that used to surround the city. There is also the church of Santa Maria, housing an impressive organ, which has over 3000 pipes. A little further afield several prehistoric monuments can be found, whose purpose remains mysterious. The entire island of Menorca is a hotspot for stone age monuments and artefacts, making it particularly interesting for those with a passion for history as well as beaches.
