The newly spruced-up Blue Nest is small and intimate hotel with decent facilities and offering great value to guests who want to enjoy one of the most exciting Greek islands.
Set in the small resort town of Tigaki, the Blue Nest has three-stars and is just 200 metres from one of the local beaches. This little town, on Kos’s south coast is all about its sands – around 6km in length. The town itself is relatively quiet, although you’ll find plenty of choice if you want to eat, drink or socialise away from the hotel.
There’s a swimming pool – with a children’s section – and gardens to enjoy at the Blue Nest hotel. If you want to barbecue in the gardens, there are the facilities to get you sizzling. Friendly, multi-lingual staff will help you out with arranging anything from cycle trips to diving classes or horse riding by day. Once the sun goes down there’s karaoke and entertainment in the complex to supplement the local bars and restaurants.
Good practical facilities include air conditioning, car hire, free Wi-Fi, and a TV lounge.
While Tigaki is a low-key sort of place, there’s plenty to more to explore nearby. Kos Town is just 20 minutes or so by bus, even less by car. The modern city sits on visible layers of history from the ancient to the centrepiece Crusader castle. A trip to the Archaeological Museum will help you put the story in context. But you don’t need to take your text books to Kos Town, which has some excellent shopping – particularly for local craft goods – and some classically elegant squares in which to dine or drink.
Pick one of the best perches on Kos in the Blue Nest. Brilliant value and still sparkling from its 2016 refurbishment, the Blue Nest is available now to book through loveholidays at a great price.
