Introducing holidays to El Toro
El Toro is a peaceful village situated on the sunny island of Majorca; one of Spain's Balearic Islands. El Toro is perfect if you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life and just soak up the sun on a relaxing holiday. However, situated close by is the lively Capital city of Palma, just a mere twenty-two kilometres away. Those looking to experience an unforgettable night out should head out to the nightlife renowned Magaluf while Port Adriano is the place to go in the daytime with a wide range of activities – perfect for a summer holiday as a family or for a couple seeking some adrenaline. Golf lovers should look out for the Golf Santa Ponsa; home of the annual golfing event, the Balearic Open. Finally, what better way to watch the Spanish sun set with a glass of Sangria in one hand and a plate of tapas in the other?
Life's a Beach
If it's beaches you're after then look no further than El Toro. El Toro's beach itself, Platja es Toro, is perfect for laying out your towel, laying back and relaxing listening to the water. With its fine, white sand this picturesque beach is only improved by the fact Port Adriano protects the beach from any breeze and ensures a usually calm sea. Close proximity to restaurants is certainly not a disadvantage either.
A little further out of El Toro is Playa de Palmanova, a larger busier beach yet no less beautiful. This beach spans a kilometre long and features a double promenade where walks up and down provide stunning views of the coastline. Less relaxing is the opportunity to take a wild ride on one of the banana boats or hire a paddle board and explore the coast at your own pace. Or for a completely different type of atmosphere head to the small beach of Port d'Andratx and set up a parasol in a secluded spot close to the clear waters.
One of the main attractions in El Toro is Port Adriano, so why not take a stroll down to the marina where there is something for everyone to enjoy? Port Adriano boasts a whole range of luxury shops so visitors can either stock up on souvenirs or treat themselves. The vast array of restaurants mean that guests have options and the only difficult decision of the holiday will be where to eat; whether you fancy a taste of the Mediterranean or haute cuisine. Holidaymakers wanting to enjoy more of the high life can also enjoy a ride on one of the luxury yachts that moors at the port.
A trip to Mallorca would not be complete without visiting Aqualand. Situated in Magaluf, it is the biggest water park in Mallorca. The perfect destination for all the family, there are slides there to entertain all; from thrill seekers to young children, making it a great day out beneath the Mallorcan sun.
A day trip to Palma should definitely be considered whilst holidaying in El Toro. Two stand out sites in Palma is first of all the Palma Cathedral Le Seu with its breathtaking architecture and fascinating history. Secondly a hike up the Serra de Tremuntana offers beautiful panoramic views of the city that can render even the most talkative person speechless. Perhaps the best way to view the city is on a guided tour. Either on a bike or for those who want to take in the sights at a more leisurely pace and with one hand free to hold an ice cream then there is a walking option.
