Sensatori Resort Sharm El Sheikh goes all out to impress. It’s in a fantastic location, just metres from a long ribbon of sand and the legendary coral-filled waters of the Red Sea. The resort has been designed to make the most of the outstanding views. The main swimming pool is footsteps from the beach, and there are two rooftop terraces – one with a restaurant and another with a gym and a spa. Elsewhere, six restaurants range from an American diner to a Middle Eastern à la carte, and stylish rooms come with every prefix imaginable, including beachfront, swim-up and whirlpool.

The sports line-up encompasses everything from archery to yoga, pilates and Zumba on a sandside platform. There are more traditional activities like volleyball and tennis, too.

Food and Drink

A mix of international dishes is put on in the main buffet restaurant. For local delicacies, pay a visit to Marhaba, an elegant Middle Eastern eatery with an exotic menu.

Marhaba Middle Eastern à la carte restaurant

This Middle Eastern eatery offers up the likes of mezze platters, skewered kebabs, and tagines. The restaurant itself is modern and elegant, with hanging pendant lights and a huge feature wall of traditional Middle Eastern patterns. Just so you know, gentlemen are required to wear long trousers to dinner.

Casa Bianca Italian à la carte restaurant

An Italian eatery where a menu of classic dishes, like grilled sea bass and tiramisu, is contrasted by modern, all-white décor. Just so you know, gentlemen are required to wear long trousers at dinner.

Tiran Diner and Beach Bar

This place serves contemporary American-style meals, and doubles up as a beachfront bar. Just so you know, gentlemen will be required to wear long trousers to dinner.

Stonegrill™ à la carte restaurant*

In the rooftop Stonegrill™ restaurant, you're given your own hot volcanic stone, so you can sizzle your own cuts of meat and fish just the way you like. Just so you know gentlemen are required to wear long trousers to dinner.

Gokan Asian à la carte restaurant*

The rooftop Gokan restaurant scores a double coup - it's part teppanyaki grill and part sushi bar. The rest of the menu features authentic Asian dishes like beef rendang, Thai green curry, and teriyaki salmon. Just so you know, gentlemen are required to wear long trousers to dinner.

Fountain View buffet restaurant

There's a huge offering of local and international dishes in the main restaurant. Chefs serve up things like pasta, crêpes, and sushi from show-cooking stations. Plus, you'll find themed corners, healthy options, and sections for children. From May 2015, gentlemen are asked to wear smart shorts or long trousers, smart polos or t-shirts, and closed shoes in the evenings.

Cue Bar

You'll find the Cue Bar just past the lobby bar, by the parade of shops. As its name suggests, this is the place to go to shoot some pool in between ordering freshly-skaken cocktails.

Terrace bar

Lobby bar

In the lobby bar, you'll catch soft piano music and acoustic performances of classic and chart hits by the resort's resident musicians.

The Clubhouse is the resort's beachfront sports bar, where live events are streamed on the big screen and quiz nights are held every now and then.

Venue bar

You can order cocktails from The Venue's bar to sip while enjoying the evening entertainment.

2 pool bars

A la carte dining

You can dine in the Marhaba Middle Eastern, Casa Bianca Italian and Tiran diner as part your All Inclusive package. An extra charge applies when eating at the Stonegrill™ and Gokan Asian à la carte restaurants.

A world-acclaimed dive centre and the most developed of the Red Sea resorts, Sharm el-Sheikh has many holiday activities, luxury accommodation and restaurants available. Most Sharm el-Sheikh hotels and diving centres are situated four miles (7km) from the city at Naama Bay and it has become a busy holiday resort with plenty of shopping opportunities, late night entertainment and an attractive holiday atmosphere.

Numerous dive sites are within reach of Sharm el-Sheikh, including the huge drop-offs at Ras Mohammed in the extreme southern part of the peninsula, the Straits of Tiran, various wrecks and 28 sites located along the coast that are reached by boat. Naama Bay has a gently sloping sandy bottom, is ideal for dive classes, and provides diving and snorkelling opportunities for all levels without having to use a boat or car to get there.

Besides excellent diving and snorkelling, which are the main activities when in Sharm el-Sheikh on holiday, there are plenty of watersports available if one feels like doing more than just soaking up the sun. Add a vibrant nightlife with casinos, discos and nightclubs and one can't complain of boredom!

Resort Rating

On holiday in Sharm el-Sheikh, diving and snorkelling are the main activities but there are a range of other activities available including horseback and camel riding, golf, desert safaris and health treatments, and a variety of watersports. The desert holds numerous attractions and trips are offered to Mt Sinai and St Catherine's Monastery, among others.

Between Sharm el-Sheikh's two tourist districts of Old Sharm and Naama Bay, there are a huge variety of dining options while on holiday, from hotel restaurants and international fast food chains like KFC, to local eateries and fresh fish. Anything from Mexican to Japanese is represented in Sharm el-Sheikh.

Sharm el-Sheikh casinos, discos, pubs and bars cater to those ready to party the night away while on holiday. Entertainment ranges from dance clubs to informal hangouts, with local favourites like the Pirates Bar, Zabadi and The Tavern Pub.

Avid shoppers will find a good variety of goods in the old market and Sharm El-Sheikh mall, where shops sell both foreign and local products, including jewellery, leather goods, clothing, pottery and books. Naama Bay offers a more upmarket shopping experience at the Naama Centre, where shopkeepers are less inclined to bargain but everything from souvenirs to scarves can be had.

Shopkeepers and hawkers can become a nuisance but a polite though firm 'no, thank you' should ward them off.
