Not only do the soft white sands stretch along the whole village of Colakli, but this entire stretch of Turkey’s southern coastline is lined with beach beauty. From long strips of golden sands, to small secluded coves perfect for peaceful days, you’ll find lots to explore. The nearby city of Antalya boasts no less than 197 beaches so you’ll definitely be spoilt for choice!

A day trip or two to the area’s capital, Antalya, is a must. Explore the shops, cafes and atmospheric Old Town (Kaleici) of this historic city, learn about the area’s history and culture with a visit to the excellent exhibits at the Antalya Museum, and visit some ancient remains, such as the amphitheatre of Termessos.
Colakli’s neighbouring town, Side, is well worth a visit. You’ll find some stunning ruins to explore. Don’t miss the Temple of Apollo. Also nearby are the scenic Manavgat waterfalls.
Families have some great attractions to keep the little ones entertained. Try the nearby Nashira Aquapark in Manavgat, for thrilling slides and a family-friendly set-up perfect for a fun and relaxing day. For the best in the area, head to the vast Troy Aquatic Park near Antalya for a themed water park with a difference – and a huge Trojan horse!
