  • Perito Moreno Glacier – This glacier is located in Los Glaciares National Park in the south of Argentina and is one of the country’s most popular tourist attractions.
  • Iguazú National Park – A park containing waterfalls and exhibitions for visitors.
  • Nahuel Huapi Lake – This glacial lake hosts a whole load of activities, from fishing to kayaking and so much more.
  • Aconcagua – The highest mountain in South America and a peak of the Andes, this is also a great place for mountaineering.
  • Plaza de Mayo – A square in Buenos Aires, it’s names after the revolution that took place which led to Argentina’s independence.

When to go

Argentina is such a huge country that it when to go depends on which part you’re visiting. Typically Argentina’s spring time which stretches from September to November is the optimal time to visit the country. Argentina’s summer time is from December to February where certain areas such as Buenos Aires and parts of the north can get extremely hot. If you wish to visit Argentine Andean ski resorts, the winter (June, July and August) is the best time to travel. However, between Easter and October, blizzards can cause some places to close and cut off some towns in Patagonia.

Eating out in Argentina

Argentina holidays include delicious cuisine which is a blend of Mediterranean delights and Indigenous influences. One of the nation’s specialities include Asado (grilled foods).
