Warming up: How to plan the perfect winter sun escape

There are two types of people in this world. Those who love winter and those who love winter sun. If you agree with the latter, you just might be interested… There’s no need to hang around for the bitter cold and the sluggish, grey days when you can escape on a winter sun holiday.

    Clear your calendar

First things first, a winter sun holiday means you’ll be travelling during the winter months. Between November and February is when you’ll want to get away from the cold, so make sure you save some time-off for this period.

Pick a destination (a warm one)

The good news is that there are loads of holiday hotspots which pride themselves on being a winter sun specialty. From far flung, exotic locations to nearby sunny havens. It all depends on your budget, how far you want to travel and the temperature you’re hoping for. Ideally, you’ll want somewhere right by the beach which means you’ll have plenty of options whether it’s the Caribbean or Europe.
