    What to pack for Cyprus

    For many who look for a Mediterranean holiday, Cyprus is at the top of their list and for good reason. The island is full of wonderful sandy beaches, perfect for ultimate relaxation. Also, many cultural sights are present in Cyprus. The key to knowing what to pack for your Cyprus holiday, is understanding the climate and the landscapes here. That way, there are no surprises and you’ve arrived fully prepared.

    Outfits

    Cyprus enjoys a typical Mediterranean climate, meaning the summers can be quite long and hot. Therefore, when you travel to the island, make sure you have suitable clothing for the heat. Shorts, t-shirts, dresses and skirts are all must haves in order to keep yourself cool. On the other hand, there are a number of notable churches, mosques and monasteries in Cyprus. If you wish to visit them, you may be required to wear particular clothing. Ladies, make sure you pack a formal dress, that covers your shoulders and legs, and a scarf to cover your head when visiting mosques. Fellas, bring a long pair of trousers. As you may not be able to enter some of these sights, if not dressed appropriately.

    Swimming costume

    Make sure you pack a swimming costume, so you can enjoy the variety of beaches that the island has to offer. Enjoying a relaxing day at the beach is just what you need during your Cyprus holiday. There are also quite a few water parks in Cyprus. Should you wish to visit them, make sure to pack that swimsuit!

    Footwear

    During your time in Cyprus you may find yourself trekking down mountainous terrain or embarking on nature trails. Make sure you bring appropriate footwear for comfort and safety. In addition to this, a lot of Cyprus’ beautiful beaches have rocky outcliffs. Meaning in order to reach them, you have to head down some stony paths.  So, make sure you are able to protect your feet during your journey.
