    Balearic Islands

    The gorgeous Balearic Islands offer something for everyone, whether you’re looking for a fabulous luxury break by a stunning beach or simply want a great-value package deal with the family. Majorca is the largest of the islands, and boasts glorious beaches, mountain hikes, the enchanting capital of Palma, and lively party resorts like Magaluf. Tranquil Menorca is a popular option for families and couples, thanks to its magical coves and historic cities. Or you could go for Ibiza, which mixes up some of the best nightlife to be found anywhere in the Mediterranean with some atmospheric little resort towns that are perfect for a peaceful holiday in the sun.

    Algarve

    The Algarve has a winning combination of spectacular beaches – some of the most beautiful to be found anywhere in the world – and a fabulous choice of resorts. Perennially popular Albufeira is one of the biggest, and offers plenty to keep kids happy if you’re travelling with the family, plus fantastic nightlife if you’re looking for a getaway with friends. You can escape the crowds in quiet Tavira, or base yourself in Faro, the capital of the Algarve, which has a picturesque Old Town to go with its miles and miles of gorgeous beaches.

    Canary Islands

    Everyone’s favourite holiday destination, the Canary Islands offer stunning volcanic scenery, endless beaches, a massive choice of water sports, and loads of fun-filled attractions for the kids. There are resorts to suit everyone, whether you want to escape the crowds or party all night. Tenerife, crowned by Spain’s largest peak, is perennially popular. Head to Playa de las Américas if you want non-stop nightlife and plenty of water sports, or make for Costa Adeje if you’d like a bit of luxury. Fuerteventura is a mecca for kite-surfing and surfing, and has some of the most beautiful white sand beaches anywhere in the Canaries.

Explore its gorgeous, historic capital of Valletta, or soak up the nightlife and shopping in Sliema and St Julian’s.
