    The Greek Islands

Both storylines for Mamma Mia! and Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again are set on the fictional Greek Island of Kalokairi.

There are so many Greek Islands to explore, it’s often worth taking a tour around the islands. As Skiathos is the main connection to Skopelos, it’s a great idea to discover all Skiathos has to offer before extending your trip across the Aegean Sea. The small island of Skiathos has picturesque, secluded and sandy beaches as its main attraction, as well as quaint little villages. Moreover, Skopelos is slightly bigger than the more popular islands of Mykonos and Santorini. On both of these islands, you can really witness the scenic, postcard-worthy, whitewashed buildings and churches. As well as ancient Greek ruins like Delos, and crystal-clear beaches, of course!

Other Greek islands like Crete and Rhodes offer historical landmarks and buildings. Allowing its visitors to go back in time and experience ancient Greek life. Crete is also known for having the clearest waters in the Mediterranean, boasting phenomenal beaches and lagoons. Discover ancient Greek excavations and mythology with a trip to Kos.
