Need for Speed
If you’re looking to inject a bit of adrenaline into your getaway, head for the Hot Wheels Raceway Indoor Karting to let loose on the racetrack. Perfect for older children and teenagers, you can get competitive while speeding around the fastest karting track in the Algarve.
The FIESA International Festival of Sand Sculpture is a must for anyone visiting the Algarve, as jaw-droppingly impressive for the adults as it is for the children! Comprising of 40,000 tonnes of sand and covering around 15,000 square metres, the intricate sand sculptures are like something out of a fantasy novel and will provide lots of entertainment watching your kids trying to recreate them the next day!
Making the most of the Algarve’s glorious weather is best done by paying a trip to one of the area’s exhilarating water parks. The Aquashow Park is suitable for children of ages with a kids’ pool and plenty of incredible slides to keep older children and teenagers entertained! Race each other on the Wild Snake or take it easy in the wave pool.
Since the Algarve is home to some of the best golf courses in the world, why not pay homage to Europe’s golf hub and get the family involved in a round of mini golf? The Family Golf Park in Vilamoura offers way more than your standard mini golf course; themed in the style of ancient Rome, there are plenty of crazy obstacles to put the whole family’s putting skills, not to mention patience, to the test!
For those of you who love getting back to nature, the Luso Aventura Adventure Park is great fun for all the family. Home to an outdoor treetop obstacle course, suitable for children ages four and up and a paintball field, this canopy challenge is the perfect excuse to get active on holiday! There are a range of trails available with varying difficulty so there’s plenty of options if you’re not the biggest fan of heights!
