    Things to do in Cancun

Cancun is a hit amongst families and couples, especially due to its all inclusive resorts. But aside from the plethora of luxury 5-star hotels in the vicinity, Cancun has a lot more to offer. Choose from a number of gorgeous sandy beaches like Playa Tortugas, Playa Delfines or Playa Marlín to sink your toes into. Or dive into a bit more action with a trip to the Cancun Underwater Museum. Access this unique attraction through a trip on a glass-bottomed boat, by snorkelling or scuba diving, where you can experience these underwater sculptures up close and personal. Fancy going back in time? Head to the El Rey Archaeological Zone where you can walk amongst historical Mayan ruins which date back to 250 A.D.

Located to the south of Cancun, the resort town of Playa del Carmen is also known for its beautiful beaches. The Playacar area boasts powder-white sands as well as upscale all inclusive hotels. On top of that, Quinta Avenida (Fifth Avenue) provides a livelier side to Playa del Carmen. The nightlife is well and truly pumping along the avenue thanks to its wide range of restaurants, bars and clubs.
