This property offers up views like they’re going out of fashion. It’s positioned on a headland, overlooking Kamala Bay, so the views of the Andaman Sea are uninterrupted. There’s a swimming pool, a spa and a rooftop bar here, as well as a couple of restaurants. Design-wise, it’s all white walls and oversized canvases that wouldn’t look out of place in a New York penthouse.
The focus here is on relaxation, and you can start your day with a yoga or pilates class – these take place most days in the hotel health club*.
Floodlit tennis courts
You'll find the snooker room inside the Vanilla Sky Bar and Lounge.
Balance Spa* looks to restore mind and body, and its treatment chambers look out over the Andaman Sea. They’re infused with scents specially-made to relax visitors.
Opening Times: [10.00-20.00]
The treatment rooms at the Balance spa offer up cinematic views out over the Andaman Sea and along the palm-fringed coastline. Inside, the rooms are contemporary spaces given a traditional feel by the likes of teak floors and wooden Venetian blinds. When it comes to treatments, the spa menu ticks off everything from traditional Thai massage to Arabian coffee scrubs, deep-cleansing facials and therapy baths. The hotel offers spa packages if you'd like to try a few different treatments during your holiday.
Cape Sienna has it's own heath club on-site. There's a fitness room kitted out with state-of-the-art equipment like treadmills, bikes and weights, and staff lay on regular yoga and pilates sessions, too. You can even ask for a tailored fitness plan to be put together for you.
You get some of the best views from the hotel’s marble swimming pool. It’s on a sea-facing terrace, and is edged by ivory parasols and smart wicker loungers.
The stylish 30-metre-long main pool overlooks the Andaman Sea. It's set into a sleek, wooden decked area lined with cabanas and loungers, and there's a bar-come-restaurant along one side. You'll find a whirlpool bath nearby, too.
Sienna Rocks infinity pool
You'll find this pool in the Sienna Rocks area of the hotel. There's a whirlpool bath alongside it, and an open-air bar close by.
Food and Drink
The hotel’s wine and dine scene includes an international poolside restaurant, which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Expect a mix of international and Oriental dishes, and a great light bites menu.
Plum Mediterranean restaurant*
Opening Times: [18.00-23.30]
The menu has a Mediterranean flavour here, so you can expect the likes of pasta, risotto and grilled meat and fish. Some of the highlights include sweet pumpkin risotto with black truffle, seared Thai tilapia fillet with blue crab curry, and grilled tiger prawns in a Chardonnay sauce. The restaurant itself is a contemporary space with relaxed mood lighting and floor-to-ceiling windows with views out to sea.
Vanilla Sky Bar and Lounge*
Opening Times: [17.00-24.00]
The moment you step onto the terrace at the Vanilla Sky Bar and Lounge, you're met by a simply jaw-dropping view out over the Andaman Sea. The view's nothing short of fabulous at any time of day but for something really special, head up in the early afternoon and you'll catch the sun as it sets over the waves. A great cocktail menu and chillout tunes in the background fit perfectly with the laid-back vibe.
The Poolside Bar and Restaurant
Opening Times: [06.30-10.30, 12.00-15.00, 18.00-24.00]
This open-sided eatery sits alongside the hotel's main pool, with a row of sofas, tables and chairs set out alongside the water. Inside, you'll find a stylish bar area, serving drinks and snacks during the day. This is also where breakfast is served, and if you choose the half board or full board options, you'll eat your other meals here, too. In the evening, there's a set menu five nights a week that includes a mix of Oriental and international dishes. There are also two buffet nights each week - Thai and barbecue.
Sienna Rocks pool bar*
This place edges a long infinity pool that's within touching distance of the waves breaking on the rocks below. With it's armchairs, sofas and a row of loungers, the terrace offers a prime spot to watch the sun go down - cocktail or ice-cold beer in hand. Staff can also rustle up a sandwich or salad if you're feeling peckish during the day.
The Sosta Bar serves up fresh coffee in the hotel's gallery area. With a library on hand and a soundtrack of chilled-out lounge music, it makes for a peaceful spot to escape the heat of the sun for a while.
A la carte dining*
The poolside and Plum restaurants both offer à la carte menus.
