"This exotic resort, situated on the south west coast of the Balearic Island, is in an ideal location for holidaymakers"

Along with its next door neighbour, Magaluf, Palma Nova is the most popular and arguably most beautiful tourist destination on the Spanish island of Majorca. This exotic resort, situated on the south west coast of the Balearic Island has an ideal location for holidaymakers thanks to its close proximity to Palma Majorca Airport and to the capital city of Palma itself, which can be found just nine miles away. Palma Nova is a purpose built resort enveloped between three separate white sandy beaches, each as busy and attractive as the last.

Beaches

As Palma Nova is separated from Magaluf by just a small patch of rocky coastland, the two resorts have almost merged into one for visiting tourists over the years. But there is one area which really makes Palma Nova stand out of its own accord: its three blissful beaches.

Playa Carregador is located next to a small, picturesque marina. This Blue Flag bay is the quietest of the three and serves up year round sunshine, soft white sand and incredible views of the boats coming and going from its neighbouring port. If you’re looking for a slice of the social action Palma Nova has to offer then head down south to Son Maties. Here you will find the most buzzing bars, restaurants and pubs in the region. Finally, the biggest and best known beach of Palma Nova and one of the top choices in the whole of Majorca is Playa Palma Nova. This sandy shore stretches one kilometre and is always filled with family holidaymakers enjoying the playgrounds and extensive range of water sports on offer.

Things to do in Palma Nova

Away from the excitement of the beaches there are plenty of adventures to be had further inland at Palma Nova. Golf Fantasia is a fun filled mini golf course in the heart of the resort which features three spiralling courses and a colourful, tropical theme. Another great way to keep the whole family entertained is to take the short trip on the free tourist bus to Marineland Majorca Water Park, which can be found on the outskirts of Magaluf. Jeep safaris are also very popular here, thanks to the stunning scenery of Majorca’s rugged landscape, especially the nearby Serra de Tramuntana mountains, and you’ll find plenty of companies providing guided 4X4 tours into the countryside throughout the summer.
